RCDC- Regional Center for Development and Cooperation, the Albanian partner of the INNOViMENTOR Project on Thursday, 3 September 2020 organised a press trip, main theme of which was Tirana’s 10 geolocations situated in the territory of Albania’s capital.

Most of the participants were media representatives specialized in Travel & Tourism. The participants embraced the opportunity to discover these geolocations and demonstrated a lot of interest towards getting to know the locations, sites, monuments and objects selected for the program from the viewpoint of the initiative.

The trip provided all participants with a sense of place by shifting from the classical visit pattern of central Tirana to the wider region. The program was carefully designed combining visits with place and story telling, meetings with local businesses and locals, art display and discussion about issues related to the importance of domestic tourism development under the new circumstances for the sparsely populated areas.

The representatives received a promotional and information kit. They showed interest in taking further steps for the promotion of the initiative in the media. Top Albania Channel, Travel Magazine, The National TV Station, Radio Kontact were among the media involved in this activity.

INNOVIMENTOR Project whose lead partner is the Aegean University, is co-funded by the European Union and by national funds of the countries participating in the “INTERREG Balkan-Mediterranean 2014-2020".
